Trivia
- Like many of the humans in this universe, some of the animals seem to have been affected by the universes strange forces, causing them to grow into giant versions of themselves. Unlike the humanoids of this universe, most of their appearances were not altered aside from their change in size.
- An example of an animal that had its appearance altered beyond its change in size would be the grubs, who also grew humanoid mouths at the front of their bodies.
- It was revealed from data mines in the first Little Nightmares game that some portraits that portrayed humanoid characters were created, but these were later scrapped from the final game. These include an anthropomorphic pig dressed in old-fashioned royal attire and a blue rat-like creature with sharp fangs dressed in white sheet-like clothing (seen at the right).
- The presence of spiders was alluded to in Very Little Nightmares. While crawling in the walls of the Nest, the Girl in the Yellow Raincoat comes across what appears to be the corpses of children wrapped in purple webs. At one point, she falls and a giant spiderweb breaks her fall.
