Episode 1 is the first episode of Little Nightmares Comics. It was published in January 13, 2021.
Plot
The story begins with Six running through the Wilderness, trying to escape the Hunter pursuing her. After finding cover, she attempts to elude him by throwing a pebble in a different direction. This proves successful as the Hunter turns and fires his shotgun in the direction the pebble caused noise, which grants Six enough time to duck into a small tunnel under a tree and make a quick escape.
After having crawled to the other side, Six prepares to venture off further, when she stops and notices a boy with a paper bag on his head sitting on a tree branch in the moonlight, who turns and notices Six. The children regard each other for a while. However, it isn't long before the Hunter steps in front of Six, blocking the kid from sight. The comic ends with the beam of the Hunter's lantern shining into Six's face and the Hunter presumably taking her hostage, foreshadowing the beginning of Little Nightmares II.

- This is the first comic of the Little Nightmares series since the cancellation of the original comics.
- The comic takes places presumably a month before the events of Little Nightmares II, given the number of marks indicating past days in the room where the Hunter locked Six.
- This shows how Six ended up being taken by the Hunter.
- It is revealed that Mono and Six have "met" before the former finds her in the Hunter's basement.
- This is the only comic to have three parts, as the rest only have two.
