Monster Baby[2] will be the first antagonist encountered in Little Nightmares III. She is responsible for the deaths of the former dwellers of the Necropolis, in which she will also be the main antagonist of said chapter.
Appearance
Monster Baby seems to be a giant humanoid baby doll who wears baby accessories such as a dress with frills. Her head seems to be made out of porcelain material with one eye partially closed while the other is wide open and used to project her petrifying light. Her hair is ripped with little bits of it poking out.
Personality
As stated in her description, she seems to be extremely curious. Her atrocious actions may not be out of malice, but simply because of her innocence typical of a child, as she may not be totally aware of what she’s doing.[2]

Trivia
- The concept of a giant baby enemy was first seen in concept art for Little Nightmares II. This baby was seen standing in the ruins of The Pale City.
- It was scrapped due to time consumption and the age rating restrictions.[citation needed]
- Gameplay footage shows Monster Baby peeking through an eye-shaped hole in a wall and shining her light through, looking for the protagonists. This is likely referencing similar puzzles from previous games.
- Monster Baby is by far the largest free-roaming antagonist seen in the franchise thus far.
- Excluding living structures like the Signal Tower, this is the first character in the series to be able to tower over buildings.
- Similarly to the Bullies from Little Nightmares II, Monster Baby appears to be made of porcelain.
- In the pre-alpha gameplay, a giant pacifier belonging to Monster Baby could be seen hanging from a plank of wood shortly after Low and Alone entered the Necropolis.
- She also appears to be holding a giant rattle in the poster for Little Nightmares III.
- Despite no longer working on the franchise, the name "Monster Baby" was given to the character by Dave Mervik, the writer of the first two games.[3]
