The Runaway Kid, The Boy, or Seven (Named by fans) is the main protagonist of the DLC Little Nightmares: Secrets of the Maw where he ventures through the lower depths of the Maw while avoiding monsters like The Granny, The Janitor, and finally The Lady.

The Runaway Kid awakens in one of the rooms from a premonition where he is eaten by The Granny. Soon after he immediately leaves and makes his way down to the lower depths of The Maw. The Runaway Kid follows another female child who has escaped and made her way pass the Eye.

Suddenly, the female child mysteriously vanishes (Most likely was either eaten by the Leeches or by the Granny) and leaves behind her flashlight which The Runaway Kid takes. Soon he is in the depths of the Maw which is flooded and makes his way further below, while avoiding The Granny who begins stalking him underwater. Eventually, the Granny begins attacking the obstacles The Runaway Kid has been on until he uses a television to electrocute the Granny, killing her.

The Runaway Kid then makes his way above to the top but was captured by The Janitor, where he is locked in a cage in the same room as Six. He was the first child seen by Six to be dragged out of the room.

After managing to escape the meatbag after being wrapped by the Janitor to be cooked in the kitchen, he entered the engine area where he had to learn to work with the Nomes in order to escape. While avoiding dangerous mechanics, and even being pursued by the Janitor a few times, The Runaway Kid was able to survive and escape the engine area.

The Runaway Kid jumped on an elevator which went upwards towards The Lady's Quarters. The Runaway Kid had to do a lot of dangerous puzzles to reach the next rooms. He eventually discovered the lost souls of the children who tried to escape, forced to serve the Lady. They tried to kill The Runaway Kid but he managed to fight back using his flashlight.

The Runaway Kid finally managed to reach the end until he accidentally saw the Lady's true face. When he saw it, she entered a stage of considerable emotional distress until she vanished, destroying the mirror behind her. The Runaway Kid tried to keep moving but was captured by the Lady, with his soul being ripped out like the rest of the unfortunate children who tried to escape.

The Runaway Kid then wakes up as a Nome, revealing that the Nomes are the children who are now slaves to the Maw, where he makes his way past the Guest Area. Fortunately, The Guests didn't notice him. He made it into a little room and looked at a sausage, revealing that he was the Nome that offered Six the sausage, only to be devoured himself.

It is assumed he's the same age as Six, so perhaps nine years old. He is very similar to Six in skills, he has basic climbing skills and can run quite fast, but he also possesses swimming skills, as seen in The Depths in chapter one of the DLC. Instead of a lighter, he starts with no light source, but as he chases an escaping girl who has a flashlight, the girl mysteriously disappears, and leaves a flashlight, which is used for the rest of the DLC. He currently has no description on the Little Nightmares official website.

The Runaway Kid is around the size of Six, with a similar lean build. He wears a blue hoodie-like garment and dark blue sweatpants, and has a metal cuff with a broken chain around his left foot. He has short black hair with long bangs that completely cover his eyes, only revealing a tiny mouth and nose. His feet and hands are bare, similar to Six. He possesses no objects until finding a flashlight, which he uses commonly and presumably puts it in his pocket when not in use.

Like other characters in Little Nightmares, the Runaway Kid does not speak, but his personality is shown through his actions. Similar to Six, he has a strong desire to escape the Maw and is a proficient puzzle solver. He is also not above killing others in self-defense, shown by his electrocution of the Granny and later battle with the shadow children. Unlike Six, however, he is more than willing to work with others in order to escape, shown when he recruited several Nomes to fuel a furnace in order to ascend through the Maw.
