The Institute is the fourth and final area Low and Alone pass through in Little Nightmares III.
Description[]
The Institute appears to be an old run down mental asylum, the inside is overgrown with numerous plants growing along the walls and floors. Large sections of the building appear to have been completely destroyed, with large pits and holes that are impassible to Low and Alone.
Solution[]
Trivia[]
- The Institute and its layout are heavily implied to be the same as the Counties Psychiatric Institute from The Sounds of Nightmares and Descent to Nowhere.
- The first large room is heavily implied to be the Reunion Room that was first described in Two of A Kind, in which Noone and Otto watch the other child patients reuniting with their parents as they celebrate with chocolate cake from an adjacent room with a two-way mirror.
- One of the padded rooms with items scattered on the floor is implied to have been Noone's room in the past. The items in question are small candies, X-rays of the tumor in Noone's head, a tape recorder, which is likely the same one Otto used to record their counseling sessions, and a red chrysanthemum, which was given to her on two separate occasions by her parents and Otto, respectively.
- The office with the big red chair, candy jar and painting of an astrolabe on the wall to the right is heavily implied to be Otto's office.
- The building's design is very similar to how the Counties Psychiatric Institute appears in Issue 2 of Descent to Nowhere.
- Low's room seems to be the only one in the Institute with a metal door.
